SAN
JOSE (May 18, 2006) - Turn-Key Operations, Inc.
(TKO), a video communications solutions provider
serving commercial, government, educational and
international enterprises, today hosted the Mayor
of San Jose, California, the Honorable Ron Gonzales,
as he addressed the China Central Television Network
in a meeting broadcast from TKO's San Jose video
conferencing studios.
China
Central Television arranged a televised business
roundtable in which Mayor Gonzales was a featured
participant (through a video conference) along
with Chinese mayors that were present in person.
A well-known local Chinese television news anchor
acted as a moderator and challenged Mayor Gonzales
to describe the role of government in the success
of a region such as Silicon Valley. Mayor Gonzales
used the medium of video conferencing skillfully
to define two roles of government. He noted that
the first role of government is as a nurturing
parent to small business, guiding them along their
way as they grow. Then, he described a second
government role, which is that of a partner once
a business has established itself.
"The
Mayor's message connected with the news anchor
and panelists on the video conference and then
it went incredibly far beyond the immediate audience"
observed John Roensch, TKO's president and CEO.
He found a way to connect with millions of Chinese
television viewers from San Jose, California,
by animating his message on the video conference.
The Mayor used video conferencing perfectly and
his message got through to millions of Chinese
that do not speak English because he used both
animated movement and expressions to reach the
viewers."
