AccessWare Software

The AccessWare software is available in two configurations, both of which function as the interface to the AccessSwitch products. They are the AccessWare Local Management Software (LMC) and AccessWare Network Management Software (NMC). These software packages enable provisioning, control and management of your AccessSwitch.

All AccessWare software operates on Microsoft Windows operating systems. AccessWare Local and Network Management Software (LMC/NMC) enables switch operators to create configuration profiles and provision network access lines on the AccessSwitch. This software also tracks system alarms, administers system security and provides a window for protocol analysis using the Q.931 and Q.921 protocols.

AccessWare Local Management Software (LMC)

Included with each AccessSwitch is local management software (LMC) that allows a laptop or desktop computer to be connected directly to the switch. This software can perform call trace analysis and it offers snapshots of active calls on the switch for easy network analysis. This version of the software enables a computer to connect to one switch for configuration, management and control. Management and control of multiple switches requires the (NMC) version of the software.

AccessWare Network Management Software (NMC)

This version of the software enables management of entire networks (up to 25 separately configured switching platforms). The interface is identical to the local management software (LMC) version but it enables an operator to remotely access and manage multiple switches. Modem or IP access can be used with this software.

The AccessWare software for the AccessSwitch 20 include the following features:

• Call-by-call routing by: dialed digits, number translation, dialed digit substitution, network service type, trunk groups, auto retry, min/max bandwidth management, and automatic number identification (ANI)
• Signal translation: -Inbound: PRI to T1, PRI to BRI, BRI to T1, BRI to PRI. -Outbound: PRI to T1, PRI to BRI, BRI to T1, BRI to PRI
• Call-by-call dial plans: private to public, public to private, on-net to off-net, off-net to on-net
